San Francisco 2100

As a result of climate change, the best estimate is that sea levels will rise by 4 feet before the end of the century. An interactive map showing the areas affected by sea level rise is available on the web, provided by Climate Central. I’ve started a project to create a set of images which show what this means for our daily lives. I’m photographing iconic sites and everyday activities in the San Francisco Bay area, and then superimposing water at the approximate level it will be at that location in the year 2100.

Here are my first two attempts.
